Sicilian Cantania donkey cart. This beautifully carved and hand painted cart was made circa 1970 by Sicilian craftsmen for Mr & Mrs Cobbing from Hertfordshire, who rescued a Sardegnolo donkey 'Marisa' from Modena, Italy. Marisa, with the cart, subsequently featured on both British and Italian television, was 'Personality of the Year' at the 1978 Horse of the Year Show and also was presented to the Queen Mother at celebrations for Her Majesty's 80th birthday
